Relock bootloader OnePlus Devices

Download the latest FW files from here
  1. Install TWRP (OnePlus 5) and Magisk if you don't have them yet.
  2. Magisk should allow you to slide "OEM unlocking" to "enabled" in developer settings (THIS IS IMPORTANT)
  3. Reboot to fastboot (Refer to my older post if you do not know)
  4. Flash stock recovery via fastboot. (Refer to my older post if you do not know)
  5. Run locking via fastboot flashing lock command
  6. Allow it to reboot and upon start up it will say device corrupted (THIS IS NORMAL)
  7. Boot to recovery via the warning start screen.
  8. Once in recovery, sideload latest FW.
  9. Done & have profit.

Please comment if you face any issue or for any query.

OxygenOS 5.0.2 update brings Face Unlock to OnePlus 5

OnePlus 5

OnePlus has started pushing out a new update to its OnePlus 5 smartphone. Arriving as OxygenOS 5.0.2, the update brings the promised Face Unlock feature.

The changelog also includes a CPU security patch (CVE-2017-13218), enhanced EIS for video recording, and updates to Launcher, Gallery, Weather, and File Manager apps. The update comes with some general bug fixes and improvements as well.

Face unlock is fast but not the best (iPhone X is the super dude). It unlocks your phone only if your face is fully open and not covered (let say for example sun glasses, scarf, etc.)

What I notice in the latest update is tha, "Ok Google" stopped working after this update. I reported this bug the oneplus community forum.

Conclussion: You will enjoy this new feature for sure. Never Settle!
